It is hard to believe that is was just over two weeks ago the Vegas Unplugged held its first Music Festival. I still dont think the dust has settled yet because the event was outstanding, the talent never ending and Las Vegas is still talking about it.
We are pleased to announce that MATTRIXX-N participated in the recent Vegas Unplugged Music Festival held in the downtown area adjacent to the Downtown Cocktail Room. The event was co-sponsored by Mundo Juillerat, lead guitar player and founder of The Hot Club Las Vegas gypsy jazz group, and, Stuart Carter-Smith of the Gypsy Fire gypsy jazz group from the UK. It featured Frank Moreno, UBERSHALL, and both gypsy jazz groups along six other groups in addition to Stephanie Sanchez, the winner of the 1st Acoustic Idol Competition held on Friday, Oct 21, the day before the festival on Saturday, Oct 22. We congratulate Stephanie on winning the competition and look forward to following her career.
Stephanie Sanchez, singer and acoustic guitarist, has performed for over 20 years in a wide range of Vegas show and venues, starting with the Hallelujah Las Vegas show in Bob Stupaks Vegas World Casino. In 2009 Stephanie decided to quit the Vegas shows scene and released her studio album Rainbow. Her music is a blend of acoustic, southern rock and hard rock with driving vocals that combine intensity with emotion. Born in Las Vegas, Stephanies performance at the Unplugged festival was a crowd pleaser delivering a combination of powerful vocals and eclectic guitar work.
The SanGreal TM Instrument Amplifiers, including the new Gold series were used throughout the festival and the competition. Other sponsors included the Downtown Cocktail Room, The Beat coffee shop, Hollys Cuppa (Love the espresso smoothie) and the Beauty Bar.
